On these pages you will see pictures of our ancestors. Unfortunately, I only have pictures 2 generations back. I'm hoping that one day I will find more, and perhaps older pictures.

Below. Sam and Sarah are all dressed for some family affair. This picture was taken in the twenties.

Above is a picture of my mother's mother, Sarah Avrith, as an elderly woman. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of her when she was younger. Here she seems unhappy. She had a hard life, raising 10 children. Her husband, Sam, below, was not the "sensitive" type.

Here is a picture of Grampa Avrith as I remember him best: going fishing in the North River at Val David, the family summer home for 3 generations of Avriths.

Below is a picture of baby Carol, delighted to be the center of attention for once, seated as she is between her two gramas, Grama Avrith on her left and Grama Lakoff on her right. My dad must have been particularly charming, because not only did he elicit the right response from me, but note the rare smile he managed to coax from Grama Avrith. This picture was taken on the back porch of my Avrith grandparents in Val David. Note Uncle Earnie sipping a cup of coffee in the background.
