I took this picture in the early 60s, with my new camera, a 35mm. semi-automatic. I love it because I think it's the only one I've seen that captures the feeling of the upstairs of our home at 711 Hartland. This picture was looking from the hallway (note wallpaper pattern) into the master bedroom, in the northwest corner of the house.
Here is a group of talented musicians known as the Smoggy Island City Chuggaluggers,(David, Gary Kober, and Sol Lang) rehearsing a gig on the front steps of the Lakoff homestead.
In 1960, Carol and David used to love exploring Mt. Royal. Here we are at the lookout. Notice Carol's "big hair".
This picture was taken on vacation in Ogonquit in 1963.
This picture of Mike and Bob was taken in 1961, in front of our Hartland Ave. home.
Ellen was the first Lakoff sibling to move out. She rented a beautiful apartment on Drolet St. with a roommate who I thought was really cool, Marie Francine.
Here we have 2 intellectuals, Bob and Aube, soon to be wed.
In 1966, Carol and Deana Silverstone were best buddies. MORE LAKOFFS AND FRIENDS |
